Task Based Performance Evaluated Language Skills Exercise
Our E-STX is designed to truly determine an individual's ability to operate unaided in a foreign environment using the native language. FEATURE Language can custom tailor an (E-STX) to meet any customer's specific requirements across a broad range of tasks. The (E-STX) is a revolutionary language capability evaluation tool which consists of a multi-event, practical, language capability exercise conducted in a live environment in conjunction with each structured (LET) event. Some of the scenarios may employ role player's dependent upon the complexity of the task. The subject areas to be evaluated can be tailored by the customer but, may include:
  • Lodging procurement: rent an apartment/ hotel room
  • Vehicle procurement: rent a car
  • Arrange for automobile repair at a local shop
  • Engage in conversation with and gain specific information from random persons
  • Present a briefing to a foreign official
  • Give navigational directions
  • Receive navigational directions
  • Follow instructions to reach a specific point and meet a company representative using multiple public transportation options
  • Understanding news broadcasts: watch and synopsize a news broadcast
  • Understanding printed media headlines: read and synopsize a printed news paper article
  • Basic goods procurement: procure specified goods from a local market incorporate haggling for price.
